Hard work paid off for a young boy rewarded with tickets to Wrigley Field.
Hannah Himes shared a video of her nine-year-old brother, Kolt Kyler, crying tears of joy when presented with Chicago Cubs tickets. After commending his son's determination at school and home, Kolt's father builds suspense with a long preamble before letting him open the envelope.
Kyler hugged his dad and revealed he will see the Cubs face their arch-nemesis, the St. Louis Cardinals.
It looks like he will appreciate the day at the ballpark. Himes told Mike Oz of Big League Stew that her younger brother watches every Cubs game and DVRs whichever ones go past his bedtime.
"His work ethic is amazing," Hannah said. "He's been carrying around a bat, ball and glove since he could walk."
Hopefully neither of his favorite players, Anthony Rizzo and Addison Russell, get a day off when he sees the defending champions at Wrigley.
