Since Schumacher retired from the sport, I switched my driver support to Kimi Raikkonen and my wife chose Massa.

Whilst we have both wanted the reds to win, there has been some sofa rivalry which has recently culmintaed in my my driver being paid off and shipped out of the team and my wife happy that "the better driver" has stayed.

The stats show Kimi was the better driver, more points, more wins, more poles etc which brings me to the question "Why Kimi?" Surely it would have been a stronger driver line up to have Alonso and Raikkonen togther.

Maybe Ferrari felt they couldn't push Massa out whilst he was injured, or maybe they felt that Kimi couldn't do the business for them anymore.  I think Ferrari like to have a lead driver and good number 2.  Kimi will go and Alonos is coming. Massa will play back up to a different world champion next year, but rear gunner will be his role.

The king is dead - Long live the King.  From 2010 Alonso will be the Ferrari driver I support but I kind of wish that I still had Kimi.
