ST. LOUIS, MO - OCTOBER 10: Manny Ramirez #99 of the Los Angeles Dodgers and teammates celebrate their 5-1 victory of Game Three to win the NLDS after sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals during the 2009 MLB Playoffs at Busch Stadium on October 10, 2009 in St. Louis, Missouri. After going up 2-0 and feeling on top of the world this game could have easily been a game where the Dodgers just showed up and gave one away. Instead Padilla pitched a fantastic game against one of the best lineups in the league. A killer instinct is needed in the playoffs and the Dodgers showed that today. Andre Either hit another shot out for a homerun and got help from Manny who was  hitting like his old self today. Enough can not be said of Padilla's performance today. After pitching his self out of a jam early in the first inning he calmed down and arguably pitched the best game so for this post season. Shutting down a lineup such as the cardianls is no small feat but doing it when the season is on the line for the cards says a lot. Since September Padilla has been pitching like a number one in the rotation. Pitching win championships and the Dodgers have really good set up men along wtih one of the best closers. The pitching staff made the highly potent Cardinals lineup look ordinary. Along with picthing you have to score runs. Should Manny continue to play like he did today along with the rest of the lineup doing thier part watch out. What i liked most besides the sweep today was how the Dodgers celebrated the win. They didnt run out and tackle each other and go crazy. No this team went out and celebrated like a team that knows they are far from done. So for now the Dodgers will wait for the winner of the Rockies and Phillies. I hope that series goes five games and they batter each other. Also hoping the Dodgers end up facing the Philles, its time for so revenge.
