I just finished watching another poor performance of the Georgia Bulldogs and I'm literally about to scream.  I hope to leave my opinion without sounding bitter or angry.  We just got humiliated by a mediocre Tennessee team that now has won 4 out of there last six years turning a series back over to them that we managed to get four straight wins from them.  I saw a team that couldn't run the ball, that couldn't defend the roll out, and eventually allowed Tennessee to embarrass us on TV.  460 yards on offense to 241, you have got to be kidding me.  We are a bad football team right now and I'm seriously beginning to wonder if the second half of 2007 was an anomaly.  We may have just slipped to mediocrity and unless some difficult changes happen we will not finish with a .500 record.  I hate to say that, I hate to see it, but we in the Bulldog nation might as well wake up and smell the coffee and see the inevitable.  I wasn't about to hit the panic button after last week but this week I am.  We will be lucky to go to Nashville for a bowl game.  I almost think that we won't even go bowling at all.  Vandy just lost to Army and maybe we'll beat them by a point.  Tennessee Tech looks like the only winnable game left on our schedule.  It is time to let the other d-coordinator to call the defense.  It is time to admit we can't run the ball and be a pass first offense sprinkling in the run to keep the opposition honest.  Our run blocking is just not there.  If Richt doesn't fire Martinez, UGA just might pull an Ole Miss and Fire the entire staff including Richt if he doesn't make changes.  It is now apparent to me that Willie Martinez can not coach an SEC quality defense.  We are a young team, I think the future is bright for us, but I thought this team would be a little better than that.  I hate to be that guy that says wait till next year but I think that is all I can say after today.  Go Dawgs!  I welcome your comments.
