The 2000 NBA Draft is likely the most infamous NBA Draft in the past 20 years.
It was held in the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn.—the last time a draft was held in a team's arena.
The 2000 NBA Draft has only produced a couple All-Stars, one All-NBA Team, and one Most Improved Player Award.
Most players from this draft never lived up to their potential and just became sixth men. Let us take a look back at the some of the players of the infamous draft and where they are now.
First Overall: PF Kenyon Martin, New Jersey Nets
Martin was selected with the first overall pick in the draft by the New Jersey Nets.
Martin is probably the best player from this draft. He is a former All-Star for the Nets during the 2003-2004 NBA season. Currently he is the starting power forward for the Denver Nuggets.
Last season, Martin averaged 11.7 points, 1.1 blocks, and 6.0 rebounds per game.
2. PF/C Stromile Swift, Vancouver Grizzlies
Swift was chosen with the second overall pick in the draft by the Vancouver Grizzlies.
Swift has never lived up to his NBA potential. He has played for the Grizzlies, Rockets, Nets, Suns, and is currently a backup center/power forward for the 76ers.
His career averages include 8.4 points, 1.2 blocks, and 4.6 rebound per game.
3. SF Darius Miles, Los Angeles Clippers
Miles was chosen with the third overall pick in the draft by the Los Angeles Clippers.
Miles came straight out of high school into the NBA. He missed all of the 2006-07 and 2007-08 NBA seasons due to severely injuring his knee.
Miles made a comeback last season with the Boston Celtics and then the Grizzlies. Currently, though, he's a free agent.
Miles' career averages include 10.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
4. PF Marcus Fizer, Chicago Bulls
Fizer was chosen fourth overall in the draft by the Chicago Bulls.
Fizer also played for the Bucks and Hornets. Fizer only played 289 games in his NBA career. His career averages include 9.6 points per game and 4.6 blocks per game. Fizer is currently playing in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional League for the Capitanes de Arecibo.
5. SF Mike Miller, Orlando Magic
Miller was chosen with the fifth overall pick in the draft by the Orlando Magic.
In 2006, Miller was given the NBA's Sixth Man Award for his contributions of the bench for the Memphis Grizzlies.
Miller played for the Timberwolves last year and currently plays for the Washington Wizards. Miller's career averages include 13.9 points per game, 5.0 rebound per game and an amazing .401 three-point percentage.
6. SG DeMarr Johnson, Atlanta Hawks
Johnson was chosen with the sixth overall pick in the draft by the Atlanta Hawks.
Johnson also played for the Knicks, Nuggets and Spurs. Johnson no longer plays pro basketball. Johnson's career averages included 6.2 points per game and 2.2 rebounds per game.
7. C Chris Mihm, Chicago Bulls
Mihm was chosen with the seventh overall pick in the infamous draft by the Chicago Bulls. Later Mihm was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Jamal Crawford and cash.
Mihm has also played for the Lakers. Mihm is currently a free agent. Mihm's career averages include 7.5 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game.
8. SG Jamal Crawford, Cleveland Cavaliers
Crawford was chosen with the eighth overall pick in the draft by the Cavaliers. Crawford was later traded with cash to the Bulls for Chris Mihm.
Crawford has also played for the Knicks, Warriors and currently the Atlanta Hawks. Crawford's career averages include 15.2 points per game, 4.2 assists per game and 2.7 rebounds per game.
9. C Joel Przybilla, Houston Rockets
Przybilla was chosen with the ninth overall pick in the draft by the Houston Rockets. Przybilla was later traded to the Bucks for Jason Collier and a future first-round pick.
Przybilla currently plays for the Portland Trail Blazers. Przybilla's career averages include 4.2 points per game, 1.5 blocks per game and 6.4 rebounds per game.
10. SG Keyon Dooling, Orlando Magic
Dooling was chosen with the 10th overall pick in the draft by the Orlando Magic. Dooling was later traded to the Clippers with Corey Maggette, Derek Strong and cash for a future first-round pick.
Dooling has also played for the Heat and Magic. Dooling currently plays for the New Jersey Nets. Dooling's career averages include 7.2 points per game, 2.1 assists per game and 2.0 rebounds per game.
11. PF Jerome Moiso, Boston Celtics
Moiso was chosen with the 11th overall pick in the draft by the Boston Celtics.
Moiso also played for the Hornets, Raptors, Nets, and Cavaliers. Moiso currently plays for the CB Bilbao Berri of the Liga ACB league. Moiso's career averages include 5.8 points per game, 1.75 blocks per game and 4.0 rebounds per game.
12. PF Etan Thomas, Dallas Mavericks
Thomas was chosen with the 12th pick in the draft by the Dallas Mavericks.
Thomas never played for the Mavericks. Thomas has played for the Wizards and currently the Thunder. Thomas' career averages include 6.0 points per game and 4.9 rebounds per game.
13. SG Courtney Alexander, Orlando Magic
Alexander was chosen with the 13th overall pick in the draft by the Orlando Magic.
Alexander was later traded to the Mavericks for a future first-round pick and cash. Alexander has also played for the Wizards and Hornets. Alexander is no longer playing pro basketball. Alexander's career averages included 9.0 points per game and 2.2 rebounds per game.
14. PG Mateen Cleaves, Detroit Pistons
Cleaves was chosen with the 14th overall pick in the draft by the Pistons.
Cleaves has also played for the Kings and SuperSonics. Cleaves currently plays for the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA's D-League. Cleaves' career averages include 3.6 points per game and 1.9 assists per game.
15. C Jason Collier, Miluwakee Bucks
Collier was chosen with the 15th pick in the draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. Later Collier was traded with a future first-round pick to the Rockets for Joel Przybilla.
Collier also played for the Hawks. Collier passed away suddenly in 2005 with a sudden heart rhythm disturbance caused by an enlarged heart. Colliers career averages included 5.6 points per game and 2.9 rebounds per game.
16. SF Hedo Turkoglu, Sacramento Kings
Turkoglu was chosen with the 16th pick in the draft by the Kings.
Turkoglu won the 2008 Most Improved Player award while playing for the Magic. Turkoglu has also played for the Spurs. This offseason, Turkoglu signed with the Toronto Raptors. Turkoglu's career averages include 12.3 points per game, 2.7 assists per game and 4.2 rebounds per game.
17. SF Desmond Mason, Seattle SuperSonics
Mason was chosen with the 17th overall pick in the draft by the SuperSonics.
Mason won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 2001. Mason has also played for the Bucks, Hornets and Thunder. Mason currently plays for the Sacramento Kings. Mason's career averages include 12.2 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game.
18. SF Quentin Richardson, Los Angeles Clippers
Richardson was chosen with the 18th overall pick in the draft by the Clippers.
Richardson won the NBA's Three-Point Shootout in 2005. Richardson has also played for the Suns and Knicks. This offseason, Richardson was a member of the Knicks, Grizzlies, Clippers, Timberwolves, and now is currently on the Miami Heat.
Richardson's career averages include 11.5 points per game and 5 rebounds per game.
19. C Jamaal Magloire, Charlotte Hornets
Magloire was chosen with the 19th overall pick in the draft by Hornets.
Magloire was an All-Star during the 2003-04 season. Magloire has also played for the Bucks, Trail Blazers, Nets and Mavericks. Magloire currently plays for the Miami Heat. Magloire's career averages include 8 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game.
20. PG Speedy Claxton, Philadelphia 76ers
Claxton was chosen with the 20th overall pick in the draft by the 76ers.
Claxton has also played for the Spurs, Warriors, Hornets, and Hawks. Claxton was traded back to the Warriors this offseason. Claxton's career stats include 9.3 points per game, 1.5 steals per game,4.3 assists per game and 2.5 rebounds per game.
