As an Arsenal fan myself, I've been trying to distinguish the best players of the season so far.
It was not easy, and I found plenty of reasons as to why this article could of been top ten and not been limited to top five.
But in the end i had to choose but to be far i will list the top 10 just to show you my mind set and give you a chance to agree or disagree.
In no particular order these are my Top 10.
1. Thomas Vermaelen
2. William Gallas
3. Eduardo da silva
4. Cesc Fabregas
5. Andrei Arshavin
6. Emmanuel Eboue
7. Thomas Rosicky
8. Alexandre Song
9. Abou Diaby
10. Robin Van Persie
I had to chose from the players from the list above as they are the stars that have sparkled so far this season.
The gunners have been very impressive from the get go and have clinched some important victories such as 6-1 against Everton, 6-2 against Blackburn and have played well in games we have lost such as the two defeats in Manchester to City and United.
On occasions, we have looked very close to the finished article and the only negative point so far can be some sloppy defending.
I feel if we can take our form into a game against the big four and see the game out we can come away with a victory.
it will be interesting to see who makes an impact against the gunners next opponents Birmingham.
Let's start the list, which is no particular order.
Thomas Vermaelen
Name: Thomas Vermaelen
Age: 23
Height: 6'0"
Position: CB
Goals Scored: 5
International side: Belgium
Previous clubs: Germinal Ekerren, Germinal Beerschot and Ajax.
Arsenal signed the 23 year old in the summer from Ajax for the sum of around £10m and it may just be one of the Premier League's best Buys of the season.
Not only Can Vermaelen do a great job in defence but he can also strike a ball into the back of the net.
So far this season he has scored five goals and has been most impressive as Arsenals top goal scorer, yes he's a defender.
When he signed many were speculating if he could replace the departed Kolo Toure and if his height and strength would be big enough to aid him in the rough world of the Premier league.
However, come the first day of the season and the critics were silenced as Vermaelen Scored against Everton with a bullet header.
As well as scoring on his premier league debut he went on to do the same in his first Champions league game, scoring a vital equalizer against Standard Liege as arsenal went on to win the game 3-2 after being two nill down.
Again he kept his goal scoring run up in the Premier League by netting two goals against Wigan in a comfortable 4-0 win for the Gunners.
He netted his next and fifth goal against Blackburn in what turned out to be a 6-2 Win.
He also took his great form into his national side and gained the Captin's armband for Belgium.
He has already hit a charm with the Arsenal fans and at 23 years of age, he has so many years yet to shine.
Can he keep his goal scoring run up, only the next couple of games will tell but expect to see his name on the back of Arsenal shirts around the Emirates Stadium.
Eduardo
Name: Eduardo da silva
Age: 26
Height: 5'10"
Position: ST
Goals Scored: 3
International side: Croatia
Previous Clubs: Dinamo Zagreb.
We all know the story of Eduardo's broken leg and the emotional and physical come back.
After he started his first season back after that terrible injury he has had the cheeky charm which seems to making him a favorite at the Emirates Stadium.
He started the new season by scoring the sixth goal against Everton in the opening day 6-1 win thrashing.
He of course scored the cheeky penalty against Celtic to help the Gunners to a 3-1 win to send them threw to the Champions league group stages.
After a two match ban was lifted he kept his good form up in the Champions League buy scoring the winner against Standard Liege, a real team effort was the key to the victory.
He has quality in spades and if not for an injury two seasons ago would be seen as a much better striker then he already is.
He can score consistent goals and in the past has netted a mighty impressive 83 goals in 111 appearances for Dinamo Zagreb, if he can take this kind of form into the rest of the season only himself and Arsenal will profit.
William Gallas
Name: William Gallas
Age: 32
Height: 6'0"
Position: CB
Goals Scored: 1
International side: France
Previous Clubs: SM Caen, Marsille and Chelsea.
Many feared at the start of the season that William's age would finally catch up to him and he would be shown the door but Wenger choosing to let go Kolo Toure kept Gallas and hasn't it been a wise decision.
He scored a tap in against Portsmouth and has shown some wonderful defending skills from the very first game of the season.
At times he has looked like a younger version of himself and has defended gallantly in many games were we have needed a backbone to the squad.
In the game against Standard Liege he mad a mistake and brought a debatable penalty against Arsenal, but making up for it he mad some great clearing headers and clearances to eventually see Arsenal turn the game around.
To be honest his great form of defending started ever since he lost the captain's armband for the Gunners. His got on with his game after a bad time in his career and showed some real character by getting his head down and playing great defending football for the Gunners.
In the past he has made some vital contributions to Arsenal such as the goals he has scored against Chelsea and Manchester united.
Overall he has been quality this season and has been a real defender for youngsters to admire.
How many years has he got left in him nobody knows but if he keeps playin' well hell keep his place.
Cesc Fabregas
Name: Francesc Fabregas
Age: 22
Height: 5'10"
Position: CM
Goals Scored: 4
International side: Spain
Previous Clubs: Barcelona Youth
Captain Cesc Fabregas has had a good start to the season and has shown some real captain's experience.
He scored two in the opening day 6-1 thrashing of Everton and made two assists in the same game. He was on fire and proved to many to up for the new season.
He went on to get an Assist in the unfortunate defeat to Manchester City but again despite defeat showed real captain material.
However he managed to lift the spirits of the arsenal team and he went on to score a goal against Wigan in the Gunners 4-0 victory.
He got a assist in the Win against Fulham by putting Van Persie through to score the only goal of the game.
And in his most impressive game of all Scored a goal and made four assists in the 6-2 win over Blackburn.
For me he has been fantastic this season and has yet again held his post as Mr Arsenal.
Anybody that can grab four goals and eight assists in the opening seven games deserves a lot of credit.
He seems to want to stay at Arsenal for a long time and is resisting a return to Barcelona.
A kiss on the badge and his brilliant form can only give the Arsenal fans confidence as we continue into the new season.
Andrei Arshavin
Name: Andrei Arshavin
Age: 28
Heght: 5'7.5"
Position: Winger, Striker
Goals scored: 4
International Side: Russia
Preious Clubs: Zenit St. Petersburg.
Ever since he was signed on that snowy day in day in January he has been a real star for the Gunners and his form has continued into this season.
He scored a wonderful goal against Celtic to help Arsenal go threw to group stages of the Champions league.
He got and assist in the opening day Win and was mighty unlucky not to get a goal in the game.
The fact may be we lost to Manchester United but Arsenal fans could take two warm nuggets of inspiration from the game, one was the team tried their best and were extremely unlucky not to get the win.
And the second was the screamer Andrei scored against united, after not getting a definite penalty Arshavin got up got the ball back and sent Old Trafford into stadium of silence except for the 3000 screaming Arsenal fans in the corner.
He scored a lovely flick on against Olympiakos in the Champions League and added to his Premier League tally by scoring against Blackburn the following weekend.
We all know Arshavin can be a real handful for any defence just ask Liverpool and that he isn't just a goal scorer but he is also a goal provider.
For me he plays best in the 4-3-3 formation and can help provide some real speed and strength to help Arsenal score.
