The NFL is now seeing a new set of receivers. We've seen the Terrell Owens, the Marvin Harrisons, the Randy Mosses, but now there's more receivers out there that'll replace once they're done.

These guys, so far into the 2009-10 season, are really making a stand. The receiver above, going about a future Hall-of-Famer for that catch, will, of course, be on this list and they're are four others that will be on this list, too.

So what are you waiting for? Keep reading!

5. Kenny Britt--Tennessee Titans

NASHVILLE, TN - SEPTEMBER 3: Kenny Britt #18 of the Tennessee Titans runs with the ball in pregame warmups against the Green Bay Packers during a preseason NFL game at LP Field on September 3, 2009 in Nashville, Tennessee. The Titans beat the Packers 27-1

Although the Titans now stand as one of the worst teams in the NFL, according to their record, one player has been poweful. The rookie out of Rutgers has been playing well and is, by far, the best rookie receiver this season...so far.

He has caught 17 passes for 271 yards along with four 20-plus yard catches and two 40-plus yard catches. He's been a beast and is averaged about 70 yards per game along with 16 yards per catch!

The Titans may make a comeback this season. They're 0-4, but heck, they can make a comeback. And with Britt, and other playmakers on the Titans' offense (hint: Chris Johnson), I think it is possible they can be 9-7 or better.

4. Mike Sims-Walker--Jacksonville Jaguars

I am digging what Mike Sims-Walker has been doing this year. In the first couple games of the season, NFL fans really didn't see much of him but now we know who he is after that win against the Houston Texans.

Sims-Walker has caught 19 passes for 278 yards along with three touchdowns. He's been averaging 15 yards per catch plus 70 yards per game, very similar to the man behind him: Kenny Britt.

Sims-Walker has helped the Jags reach 2-2 after their horrifying 0-2 start. Let's hope the Jags can clinch the AFC South, or at best, an Wild Card. It's possible, and if David Garrard can keep playing the way he did against Tennessee, it be possible.

3. Mario Manningham--New York Giants

I really didn't expect Mario Manningham to be good at all with the Giants after they drafted Hakeem Nicks and Ramses Barden. Plus, they had Domenix Hixon and expected to do a lot more stuff with Steve Smith. But that's why he is on this list, he's a surprise!

Manningham has caught 18 passes for 306 yards along with two touchdowns! He has SEVEN 20-plus yard catches and two 40-plus yards catches. He has been averaging a stellar 17 yards per catch along with 76.5 receiving yards per game.

The Giants are looking hot this year, and with all the other teams struggling in their division, it won't be hard for them to be a strong team in the playoffs. People need to watch out for the Giants, and they also got to watch out Manningham as well.

2. Pierre Garcon--Indianapolis Colts

GLENDALE, AZ - SEPTEMBER 27: Pierre Garcon #85 of the Indianapolis Colts runs after a catch in the fourth quarter as he battles for more yards against Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie #29 of the Arizona Cardinals during the game at University of Phoenix Stadi

You really didn't think I'd leave this guy out! Man, Pierre Garcon is just looking spectacular this season and has been tearing it up. I think the Colts have found their new target. So it looks like things didn't turn out all that negative with Gonzo injured, huh?

Peyton Manning is loving this kid. I interviewed Pierre back in June and he said he couldn't wait to get his first touchdown of his career. And guess what? His first touchdown was a 48-yard game-winner against the Dolphins.

Garcon has caught 10 passes for 207 yards along with two touchdowns, which have gone for close to 50 yards. He has four 20-plus yard catches and two 40-plus yard catches (coincidence?). He's been averaging 21 yards per catch with 52 yards per game.

The Colts are looking hot, and heck, so is Pierre!

1. Steve Smith--New York Giants

CLEVELAND - OCTOBER 13: Steve Smith #12 of the New York Giants carries the ball during the game against the Cleveland Browns on October 13, 2008 at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. (Photo by: Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)

No, not the one in Carolina. It seems like NY's Steve Smith is going to have problems with the name. Smith has been stellar all-around this season. You have to admire what this guy's been capable of.

He has 34 catches for 411 yards with four touchdowns. He has six 20-plus yard catches with twelve yards per catch. He's also been averaging 103 yards per game along with 22 first down catches, first in the NFL. He pretty much leads all receivers in about every category.

So next time you mention the name Steve Smith, I bet you the superstar will be this one.

Other Notable Surprises

Here are five other notable receivers that have been surprises this season:

Mohamed Massaquoi
Johnny Knox
Mike Wallace
Nate Burelson
Jermichael Finley
