The first overall selection of the 2009 National Basketball Association Draft will make his debut for the Los Angeles Clippers as they host the Portland Trail-Blazers at the Staples Center on Friday.

The Clippers are coming off a seven point loss to the Golden State Warriors on Sunday as Griffin wasn't active for the game with a bruised knee. Also missing the game were veteran center Marcus Camby and backup point guard Sebastian Telfair.

With the absence of Camby and Griffin, second-year center, DeAndre Jordan took advantage as he didn't miss a single field goal attempt, going 8-8, to score 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

On the flip side, the Blazers are 2-0 so far in the preseason, with both victories coming against the Sacramento Kings.

Greg Oden, the Blazers centers, had promising showings in each of the first two games, putting up games of 18 points and nine rebounds, followed by 20 points and 12 rebounds. Oden will face his first real test going up against Chris Kaman and Marcus Camby.
