In a game where Albert, Holliday and company were supposed to come into La and take back home field advantage the Dodgers came out and played a very good game. The so called experts had the Dodgers playing well but not well enough to take the series. After tonight a lot of opinions will change from the Dodgers being a underdog and not having a chance to being on the verge of winning a playoff series which hasnt happen for the Dodgers in some time. Dodgers came into the playoffs not flying high which you want for a post season run but coming in thanking god that the season ended when it did. The race between the Rockies and Dodgers was to close for comfort. Even though the Dodgers ended up taking the NL west by beating the Rockies the optimism wasnt high which is why the Cardinals came into LA favored to win this series. Instead of dwelling on the downfalls the Dodgers came into this game and put the last few weeks of the season behind them and played a all around good game. The pitching was nothing short but great. Keeping this Cardinal lineup in check is anything but easy but they did it. And scoring runs on Carpenter dont come with ease. The LA faithful was all in attendance making the stadium look like a sea of blue. Who says LA fans arent passionate? With every strikeout the crowd went crazy. Pitchers getting out of a jam had the packed house out of thier seats and pumping thier fists. So come on blue crew and put this series at 2-0 with a win tomorrow and get us that series win that LA needs badly. The fans deserve it but most of all after a season of highs and lows the team deserves it.
