Minnesota Vikings Miss Golden Chance To Honor Joey Browner

28 Oct 1990: Defensive back Joey Browner of the Minnesota Vikings looks on during a game against the Green Bay Packers at Milwaukee County Stadium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Packers won the game, 24-10.

LAS VEGAS, NV- The Minnesota Vikings made huge mistake this week announcing the annual ring of honor honoree as Scott Studwell. Not that Studwell didn't deserve it, he does, but why make Joey Browner wait so long? The issue is that they (Vikings front office) missed a 5 time HOF nominee, 6 pro bowl, leader of the 80's all decade team and one of the more popular Vikings ever, as they have since 1992 in Joey Browner who is way overdue for the tremendous honor. The NFL has him close to being in the Hall yet the Vikings act as if he isnt even alive?

     There is NO EXCUSE!

The Vikings are seemingly overlooking Joey Browner for what reason...NONE. I am almost ready to call them dumb in the front office. Its a shame that we have to even write this article on one of the games all time greats being mishandled by his own team??? Joey attends all Vikings home games, does all charity work and represents the team in Hawaii and at Super Bowls. Gee what more can he do Vikings fans let me hear you!!!!
