"Linebacker U." just got a little scarier.

Khairi Fortt, the No. 2 ranked outside linebacker in America according to Rivals.com, has officially committed to Penn State's class of 2010 and will enroll in January.

Ranked No. 30 overall, the 6'2", 225-pound Fortt has also received All-American honors and will play in the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

By committing to Penn State, Fortt will have an opportunity to be honored among some of the best linebackers to ever play college football.

Fortt chose Penn State over Georgia.

Hailing from Stamford High School in Stamford, Connecticut, Fortt had 118 tackles as a junior in 2008.

His fellow teammate at Stamford High, running back Silas Redd, has also committed to Penn State. Redd is the No. 6 running back according to Rivals.com.
