Dear Tampa Bay Rays,

Thanks.

Although the season did not end in the manner I had hoped, I would like to extend a thank you for the efforts you put forth this season. Thanks for the countless hours of entertainment that you provided me with that allowed me to forget my troubles and the temperature outside. Thank you for an amazing nine-game home stand in mid-August that allowed a son to bond with his father over a great set of games. Thank you for the great games, improbable rises to stardom, and a perfect setting for conversation.

I shall miss you, but Opening Day is only six-months away.

Sincerely,

Peter Evans
