October is National Breast Cancer awareness month, my question to all readers...Are YOU ready to do your part?
I am sure that I am not the only one who knows not only someone with Breast Cancer, but someone who has passed from it. At the same time, I know even more people who are Survivors!
As usual, the National Football League is once again behind, or in front of, a worthy cause.
You will notice more than a few players in the league sporting pink today. No need to adjust your TV. There will be pink cleats, pink gloves, no pink jerseys on players, however, a sea of pink in the stands.
Your Job...
Married men, this one's to you.....
Tell your wife, "I'll feel yours if you fell mine!"
I already hear it, "men can't get breast cancer!"
Not true, there are a few out there that effect both men and women.
I have personally scanned quite a few men in my ultrasound room for this very thing. Men, you do not usually get a mammogram first, so you can exhale now.
Now go tell your wives that you want to do your part AND you would like HER help to make sure that you too have nothing to worry about.
The family that watches football and screens together, well do we really need a play by play for the rest?
At Your Own Risk
If you are in a committed relationship, you should be able to follow the advice set forth to the married men.
If you are still in the dating pool be careful whom you ask.
Some ladies may not be as welcoming to the suggestion, the again it could be a conversation starter.
Speak at your own risk; I am not responsible for the reactions. I am only responsible for the article here on bleacher report that allowed the conversation to start.
The Facts!
This campaign is not new to the NFL, but we are thankful.
On a serious note:
Breast cancer survival is directly related to early diagnosis. Most small changes in a woman's breast are found doing self examinations. Once some change is detected a series of other exams come into play.
Usually a mammogram followed by an ultrasound with a doctors' visit to discuss the findings.

Please get your Tata's checked!
You can start today with your spouse's follow up next week some time.
Going into week four of the NFL season Drew Brees and the Saints are undefeated.
So was I! Matter of fact, as of this Sunday during Breast Cancer awareness, my husband says we are now 4 and 0. Now time for my Saints to do the same.
According to the "if....then...” theory: if I am 4-0 and wearing my pink, then Drew and the Saints wearing their pink the answers will be the same.
Now I need all of our Who Dat nation to show your team spirit and do your part. We can't have the New York Jets beat us in team spirit!
The Saints and their fans get another win!
