Yesterday, I had the exclusive privilege to go inside the Cotto camp in Tampa, at the Fight Factory. Miquel, as always, looked in tip top shape, as he handled the jump rope, stretched, and prepared for some sparring in the early afternoon.

While watching the sparring (two different opponents), it felt very much that this was early in his training, as movement in the ring seemed rather slow, but still physical by both Cotto, and his sparring partners.

Over time, and as it gets closer the the bout, I'm sure things will certainly get stepped up. Cotto was very focused, and serious in his training. Latin music in the background to relax him, and few people in the gym to distract.

The folks from HBO's 24/7 were doing their magic, and were barely noticeable.
