With Manchester City dominating the news about them making it into the top four none of the newspapers have paid too much attention to Sunderland who under new boss Steve Bruce have made an impressive start.

After beating Wolves 5-2 Sunderland went eighth. Signing Bent has been in great form scoring six goals in seven appearances Bent is starting to look like a good signing.

Also in form is Trinidad and Tobago striker Kenwyne Jones, scoring twice in the win against Wolves. He looks to have his best Sunderland season.

Before Steve Bruce became manager of Sunderland Roy Keane was the gaffer and a fan favourite after getting them promoted to the EPL in 06-07 Season. Ever since Sunderland have been avoiding relagation by quite a few places.

This season Sunderland look to finish in the top half of the table and some people are saying at this rate they could qualify for the Europa League.
