Juventus have hit a bit of a dry spell lately managing only one win out of their last five in both Europe and Italy. They blundered the chance to be the sole leader of Serie A and they are yet to win in the Champions League.

Now sad news has been given; captain, hero, and legend Alessandro Del Piero will miss an additional 30-40 days due to an injury to his leg muscles. After only being reactivated this past week, Il Pinturicchio will now be out until at least November.

This is sad news due to Juve's recent mediocracy spell. Many fans hoped that the return of the ever persistent and never aging captain could inspire some of the players. We will now have to look elsewhere.

On top of that Cannavaro and Sissoko are still injured and Tiago has also been ruled out for 20 days. Juventus will need their players to step up this weekend against Palermo and get the momentum back in their favor.
