Graceway Pharmaceuticals Uses Sponsorship for "Is It AK or OK?" Campaign

Horn FanSenior Writer IOctober 1, 2009

Graceway Pharmaceutical and Billy Ballew Motorsports have teamed up to promote awareness to Actinic Keratosis, also known by its abbreviation "AK," and they'll use Aric Almirola's No. 15 Toyota for the campaign.

They've created the slogan "Is It AK or OK?" that will be prominently displayed on the hood, sides, and deck lid of Almirola's truck for the remainder of the 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

The goal is to promote skin cancer awareness, and the early detection of Actinic Keratosis. As well as making people aware of the long-term consequences of accumulated sun damage.

It's estimated that nearly 10 million Americans have AK, which is a common pre-cancer that develops on skin frequently exposed to sun.

AK's are small, red, sometimes scaly or rough spots that can be found on skin most often exposed to the sun like the face, bald scalp, hands, shoulders, and arms.

Since you can't predict whether an AK can develop into cancer, it's important to check any skin changes with your doctor.

Visit www.IsItAKorOK.com for more information on AK.

A big thank you to Graceway Pharmaceuticals and Billy Ballew Motorsports for creative using your sponsor for something good.
