With two solid games at years end last year i never dreamed i would be comparing JR to Leaf. I thought it was the beginning of something beautiful. And now three games into this season it looks like he has bust written all over him. The worst part about him is not his stats thats expected of a young QB, history tells us not all QB's that are young like Russell come in and dominant. I mean how many games has JR started ? I think its around 18-20 not enough to declare bust just yet but enough to see if the QB is going to grow and be the leader of your franchise. No the worst part is JR looks like he doesnt have that fire, he doesnt have that "it factor" somebody that you would want to follow into battle and give all you had. When you are making millions of dollars and your the starting QB of a franchise how in the world do you show up to training camp but anything else then in the best shape of your life? The fact that this is not the first off season that this has happened with JR shows his commitment to the team and himself. And if he doesnt put time in to take care of his body how much time is he putting in the film room? Being a fan i can only hope that he turns it around and hope beyond hope that the reason he is struggling is because hes in a new system, his fav target Chaz has been out and the WR are two rookies, not to mention the patched up o line. Lets hope those are reasons for his struggles. ( watching JR in pre game warm ups before the bronco game he continued to over throw players on 15 yard passing drills. Yes even in drills hes over throwing people and not by just a little).
