For the first time, AJ Styles and John Cena will go one-on-one.

As a result of Styles' actions, as well as that of his Bullet Club members, the Phenomenal One will face Cena on June 19 at WWE Money in the Bank in Las Vegas, WWE announced Friday.

Styles will be Cena's first opponent since October after returning from shoulder surgery this past Monday.

Cena made his return to television Monday and talked about the status of WWE's new era. He said the stars of the new era will have to go through him, which led to Styles coming to the ring and welcoming back the leader of the Cenation.

One week after Styles said he and Club members Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson should go their separate ways, the three attacked Cena to close out the show.

Both megastars will head into this match in need of momentum. Cena is making his in-ring return and will need a boost to get back into a title picture. Whether that's the WWE United States Championship or even a small feud with Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Cena needs a win.

WWE has pushed Styles into the main event spotlight since his Royal Rumble debut, and the Phenomenal One has been nothing short of, well, phenomenal. He followed his stellar matches with Chris Jericho with back-to-back Match of the Night candidates against Reigns for the title. A victory over Cena would solidify Styles as a top heel and keep him in the spotlight.

Money in the Bank is shaping up to be one of the best cards of the year. This match could steal the show, barring the outcomes of the Money in the Bank ladder match and Reigns' title match with the returning Seth Rollins.
