On October 2, 2009, there will be a meeting in Denmark to decide the host of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. The cities that are in the mix are Chicago (USA), Rio de Janerio (Brazil), Tokyo (Japan) and Madrid (Spain).

The Beat Mike Network is an American fantasy sports league network. Would you think they would root for Chicago, Illinois to get the 2016 games? Well, Mike DiMauro, the President of BMN says that he and the network are going to support Rio de Janerio, Brazil to get the 2016 games for that city.

He continues saying that if Rio is chosen that they would become the first city ever from South America to host the Olympic games (winter or summer). He would like to see the Olympics be held on every continent. He will even support any African city that put their name in for the 2020 Olympic games.

He understands that if Chicago get the games, it would be 14 years since the United States hosted the 2002 winter games in Salt Lake City, Utah and 20 years since the United States hosted the 1996 summer games in Atlanta, Georgia.

He goes on and say that he would travel to Chicago if the games are in Chicago or to Rio de Janerio, if the games are in Rio de Janerio.
