Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly "encouraged" Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi to move to Anfield in the summer.

According to Calcimercato's Steve Mitchell, Ajax will be to "ready to listen to offers in the region of €18-20 million (£14-15.6 million)" in the summer and, although El Ghazi will not make a decision on his future until the end of the season, Klopp is looking to persuade him to join Liverpool amid interest from Inter and AC Milan.

The 20-year-old winger has had a prolific season in the Eredivisie, netting 11 goals in 26 appearances and providing two assists, per WhoScored.com.

Mitchell suggested he is "destined for the Premier League," while he is very affordable for Liverpool and would be an excellent addition to their squad.

Klopp is well known for his effective nurturing of young players having developed the likes of Mario Gotze, Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan and Robert Lewandowski when in charge at Borussia Dortmund.

The summer transfer window will be the German manager's first real opportunity to bring his own players to Liverpool, and Netherlands international El Ghazi has proven recently that he could be real star—see some of his season highlights below:

He is not afraid to run at players and has a stinging right-foot shot, while he is also very effective in the air.

Playing on the right flank of a Liverpool attack alongside the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho he could likely be very effective in the Premier League.

Liverpool will face a battle for his signature, but he would reportedly "rather a move to the Premier League" despite long-term interest from Milan, per GianlucaDiMarzio, as translated by David Amoyal.

El Ghazi would not be a rash buy from Liverpool as it is not only the current campaign in which he has excelled, having netted nine league goals and provided eight assists for Ajax in the league in 2014-15, per WhoScored.

He looks ready to make the step up to the Premier League and is set to be available at a very reasonable price. He could become a key part of Klopp's squad next season as Liverpool look to become title challengers once again.
