What an interesting Week 3. Welcome to my new weekly column The Good, Bad, Ugly, and Every In Between... where I go over the good, bad, and ugly of the NFL season. Yes, I'm a couple weeks late, but I had some business outside of Bleacher Report to attend to, since I write for my college's newspaper and analyze music on 411Mania.com (shameless plugs, I know).

Anyway, this was an interesting week that taught us a lot, despite what you think you may know. People, we live in an era of 16-0 teams and the Miami Dolphins going from 1-15 to 11-5 with a division title. Nothing surprises me anymore. Well, nothing SHOULD surprise me anymore........Onto the list!

The Good

Empire State of Mind: No, not the Jay-Z song, although that is a great track. I'm talking about the two New York football teams—the Giants and Jets. Both are 3-0 thus far, looking impressive in their recent victories. Then again, I can look good against the Bucs with Byron Leftwich throwing for 22 yards.

Give the Jets props too. They beat what was supposed to be a very good Tennessee Titans team.

Mark Sanchez has the confidence of Entourage's Vinnie Chase and looks like an early candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Gang Green's defense isn't too shabby either, ranking third in the league. Giants are just a notch above at number two. New York, New York.......

Favre The Barbarian?: Okay, Favre is not a barbarian, but he technically is a Viking (figuratively). The 49ers played their butts off against Minnesota, only to lose with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter via Favre miracle comeback drive number 50,764.

As much as I don't like his personality at times, Brett Favre is a Hall of Fame quarterback and earned his paycheck Sunday. Whether he will have a meltdown like last season remains to be seen.

The 49ers: Now that's a team that looked great in defeat. The only real lapse they had was by not being more aggressive towards the end of the fourth quarter. Run, run, run, punt isn't the best option in a close game with Brett Favre on the other team, even if you are in the lead.

Bad game plan at the end by Mike Singletary, but no doubt about it, the 49ers are a team that's going in the right direction.

Don't Doubt BeliBrady: I got so tired (mucho cansado for my bilingual friends) of hearing people crap on Belichick and Brady. “Oh they're not the same. Tom Brady is a shell of his old self.” People are stupid. The Patriots lost to the Jets in Week 2 because Gang Green is very good and played better.

Tom Brady had been back for TWO games leading up to Sunday's victory against the Falcons. Well the good people in the ATL learned that Tom Brady is still Tom Brady. And Bill Belichick is still Bill Belichick. Not the Pats best outing, but a win nonetheless.
