Game News & Notes

  • Now a fully fledged member of New York’s rotation, the Yankees have won all four of Gaudin’s September starts, as he has posted a 4.05 ERA in 20 innings. He has not faced the Royals in 2009.
  • Posada sat out his second consecutive game Sunday with a stiff neck. Posada originally tweaked his neck during a bases-clearing incident with the Blue Jays earlier this month.
  • Damon also sat out Sunday’s game, due to the combination of a wet field and Girardi’s desire to find playing time for backup Brett Gardner.
  • Reliever David Robertson “felt great” after facing hitters Saturday, according to Girardi, and will likely return to game action Tuesday against the Royals.
  • Rodriguez is 1-for-3 with a home run in his career off Hochevar.

The game will take place at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, NY. The game is scheduled to start at 7:05PM ET. The game will be televised on the YES Network. The game can also be heard on the radio on WCBS 880. Enjoy the game. Go Yankees!
