The Golden State Warriors (67-7) are one win closer to history following a 102-94 win over the Washington Wizards (36-38) on Tuesday at Oracle Arena.
The Warriors now need to win just six of their final eight games to break the Chicago Bulls all-time record for wins in a single season.
On Tuesday, Stephen Curry finished with 26 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Draymond Green had 16 rebounds, 15 points and nine assists. Klay Thompson added 16 points.
The Wizards were led by Bradley Beal, who had 17 points. John Wall had 11 assists and eight points on 4-of-14 shooting.
The Warriors won the two-game season series, 2-0.
