CC Sabathia was virtually unhittable today. He pitched 7 innings of shutout baseball, only allowing one hit and picked up his 19th win of the season. He’s the first pitcher in MLB to reach 19 wins. His pitching line was: W, 7IP 1H 0R 0ER 2BB 8K. His record improves to (19-7) on the season.

Phil Hughes pitched a scoreless 8th inning, picking up 2K’s and his 18th hold of the season. Mo Rivera came on in the 9th inning, struck out two batters and nailed down his 43rd save of the season.

The Yankee offense picked up 7 hits, drew 7 walks and knocked in only 3 runs. I guess that looks like a lot when you shutout the opposition.

Derek Jeter went 2-for-3 on the game. Johnny Damon went 1-for-4 and knocked in 2RBI’s on a single.
