Is a diss delivered in a charming Kiwi accent still considered a diss?

The Oklahoma City Thunder's Steven Adams threw some subtle shade at his fellow big man, Dwight Howard, who was caught using stickum during the Houston Rockets' 109-97 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.

Per the Oklahoman's Anthony Slater, while speaking to media on Monday, the New Zealand native said, "Maybe that's why he misses free throws."

Have to admit, the "mate" at the end could soften any blow.
