As LeBron James gears up to try to bring a championship home to Cleveland, Nike is making sure the four-time NBA MVP has the best equipment possible to allow him to perform at the highest level.
That's why Nike has created the LeBron 13 Elite shoes—and just in time for the 2015-16 NBA postseason.
The latest sneaker in James' signature line features Kurim, an "extremely pliable and durable material," throughout the upper area. The shoes have thinner material in some spots for flexibility and thicker layers elsewhere to provide maximum support.
Nike came up with its latest design with the goal of providing three benefits: dynamic lockdown, optimal stability and responsive cushioning. All of that should help James be at his best when it matters most.
Two additional colorways will launch down the road:
The red version of the LeBron 13 Elites will be released to the public on April 14, followed by the white and black colorways in May.
