There has been on an ongoing trend lately where celebrities and professional sports stars are making the jump over to the world of MMA (mixed martial arts).

Some use the fastest-growing sport in the world as an outlet to get their name back out to the general public, a publicity stunt if you will. Major League Baseball superstar Jose Canseco did just that and made a fool out of himself against 7’2 “Techno Goliath” Hong Man Choi in Japan.

Others, however, truly do have a passion for the competition of combat and grew up training in traditional martial arts. Former green Power Ranger Jason David Frank and NFL legend Herschel Walker come to mind and while they may be mocked for stepping into a cage one can certainly admire their passion.

The problem is with so many celebrities trying to transition into MMA it’s hard to separate the posers from the real fighters. Well here’s the solution, let’s take sixteen celebrities including movie stars, musicians, professional athletes, even politicians and have them prove themselves on The Ultimate Fighter.

The Ultimate Fighter: Celebrity Deathmatch will feature an open-weight mixed gender tournament featuring some of the most high profile stars in the world today. The format will follow TUF season 4: The Comeback where there are no individual coaches other than the guys brought in to help the celebrities train.

Also the winner of the competition instantly earns a title shot against UFC Heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar, regardless of their weight class.

Different from previous seasons, the matchups will be predetermined by a mentally challenged orangutan. With that being said let’s take a look at the first round brackets for what is sure to be the highest rated show in television history.

Dane Cook vs. Martha Stewart

Stewart can make a bird feeder out of just her own spit and a twig but does she really have what it takes to become the next Ultimate Fighter? She won’t get an easy road to the finals that’s for sure because she has been matched up against the master of observational humor.

Cook has the knockout power of a 12-year old girl on steroids and the wrestling ability to match. However, Stewart is no slouch in the stand-up game having taken karate lessons from the late Chris Farley. Not to mention she’s a black belt in peg rack Jiu-Jitsu, so she can clearly hold her own on the ground.

Styles make fights and this matchup is guaranteed to be an explosive start to a crazy season of fights.

Dwayne Johnson vs. Arnold Schwarzenegger

LOS ANGELES, CA - FEBRUARY 08: Actor and former wrestler Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson arrives at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center on February 8, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images)

The Rock meets The Terminator in what is sure to be an epic battle between two explosive stars. Johnson gave up his career of layin’ the smackdown on candy asses in the pre-determined world of the WWE to pursue a Hollywood career (doesn’t that sound familiar, Quinton Jackson?).

He may have been the most electrifying star in sports entertainment history but his movies have been as entertaining as watching Kalib Starnes running a triathlon. Johnson’s desire for combat is still burning within him and this time he’d like to try his hand at real fighting.

Johnson will be at a disadvantage though because he won’t be able to pull of his signature peoples elbow inside the Octagon as there aren’t any ropes for him to bounce off of.

It will be interesting to see if that messes with his head and if the Governor of California capitalizes with a thunderous overhand right knocking The Rock out.

Bill Clinton vs. Megan Fox

The 42nd President of The United States of America takes on the brunette bombshell that has stolen the hearts (and other organs) of 90 percent of American males. Regardless of what Fox thinks she is far from perfect and if she underestimates Clinton she could find herself on the wrong side of a democratic triangle choke.

What exactly is a democratic triangle choke? Ask Monica Lewinsky and she will tell you all about the dangerous submission game Clinton possesses.

Fox needs to keep this fight on the feet and use her legs to ensure victory, and after Clinton becomes too stiff to move she needs to finish him off with a head kick.

Kayne West vs. Shaquille O'Neal

Anyone that watched the 2009 Video Music Awards on MTV knows that Kayne is in need of a good beatdown and 7’1" 325-pound powerhouse Shaq is just the guy for the job. Not only is Shaq a very large man but unlike most in this competition he has been training in MMA for a very long time.

The center for the Cleveland Cavaliers has all the tools necessary to shut Kayne’s mouth once and for all.

First, he’ll beat him up with his stiff jab and punching combos and then he’ll take the fight to the ground using his excellent knowledge of jiu-jitsu and sheer power to shape Kayne into a human-shaped basketball.

Kayne basically has no chance of winning because having a big mouth and interrupting award winners is a trait that does not carry over into the world of MMA, unless you’re name is Dana White but Kayne is nowhere near being as cool as the UFC President.

Britney Spears vs. Miley Cyrus

WASHINGTON - SEPTEMBER 4: Singer Britney Spears performs for the 2003 'NFL Kickoff Live from the National Mall' September 4, 2003 in Washington, DC. Thousands of U.S. military personnel are attending the concert which features Spears, Mary J. Blige, Aero

Old-school annoying pop singer meets new-school annoying pop singer in a bout that will hopefully end their respective singing careers. As annoying as Cyrus’s music is she actually seems like a fun person and a good role-model for kids, unlike Spears who is probably better off living in a plastic bubble away from society.

Though surely Chris Crocker will say otherwise but he wasn’t even born on this planet to begin with so his opinion doesn’t count.

But getting back on topic here, Cyrus will most certainly have a two on one advantage as her blond alter ego Hannah Montana will enter the Octagon alongside her. Spears’ only hope is if Kevin Federline is seated cageside as just the mere scent of a loser will put Cyrus to sleep.

Eminem vs. Borat

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - NOVEMBER 15: Actor Sacha Baron Cohen arrives in character as Kazakh journalist Borat Sagdiyev at the Melbourne premiere of his film Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan, at the Village

At the MTV Movie Awards Sacha Baron Cohen, otherwise known as Borat or Bruno, put his genitals on Eminem’s face. That is just something you do not do to a glorified “gangsta’” and Slim Shady will have the opportunity to extract revenge on Cohen with three five-minute rounds.

Slim Shady prides himself on his in-your face street brawling but unless your name is Kimbo Slice that doesn’t mean anything when you step into the cage.

Borat has trained with the very best Greco-Roman wrestlers in all of Kazakhstan… or at least he thought they were Greco-Roman wrestlers (uh-oh) but none the less he picked up some techniques.

If able to keep Eminem pressed up against the cage and steering clear of his brawling, Borat should have this fight in the bag.

Clint Eastwood vs. Michael Vick

Whether he has served his time or not, Vick is a despicable human being that is cruising for a bruising. At 79 years old, Eastwood is still the baddest man on the planet and can do some serious damage to the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback.

Despite being a low-life, Vick was blessed with the athletic ability of a Greek God but let's not judge a book by it's cover. Eastwood is definitely as old as a fossil but the man is still packing heat.

If Eastwood can land a clean shot he can most definitely put Vick's lights out but Vick might be able to wear the old dog down, no pun intended, with his superior athletic ability and speed.

Sylvester Stallone vs. Dustin Diamond

Diamond who is better known as Screech from Saved by the Bell has been making appearances on literally every Reality Series you can think of. He was on like 30 seasons of Celebrity Fit Club and yet he's still a fat, out of shape loser that nobody seems to care about.

He'll be matched up against "The Italian Stallion" in his first ever MMA fight and hopefully Stallone will punch holes through him. We all know how legit Stallone's boxing ability is after all.

Diamond was on Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling and he sucked, so if he can't cut it in fantasy land his chances of accomplishing anything in a real combat environment as slim to none.

But stranger things have happened in the world of MMA, maybe Diamond shocks the world and knocks Rocky out in Clubber Lang-like fashion? You never know.

So what happens next?
