Samuel Eto'o has been cracking jokes on Turkish television after another Lionel Messi masterclass for Barcelona on Saturday.

When asked about his time playing with the Argentinian magician, the Cameroonian international joked that he "didn’t play with [Lionel] Messi, [Messi] played with me,” per Sport.

After all the joking, Eto'o did wade into the Messi-Cristiano Ronaldo debate, coming down firmly on the side of his ex-Barca team-mate.

“I saw him grow at Barcelona. And I can say, without any doubt, that he is better than Cristiano Ronaldo.

“He’s the best player in the world and he will be so for 10 more years,” he added.

Just imagine another decade of Messi at the very top of the game. Eto'o certainly can.
