Not that there'll be any shortage of it in a knockout tie between Manchester United and Liverpool, but the Red Devils are going all out to create an atmosphere at Anfield next week.

The club has (h/t Andrew Kilduff on Twitter) been emailing fans to inform them that ticket holders in the visitors' section at Thursday's Europa League tie will be given free United away shirts to create a "Wall of White."

Louis van Gaal's side advanced through to the last 16 thanks to a 6-3 aggregate win, while one goal over two legs was enough for Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool to see off Augsburg in the round of 32.

Both sides are all but out of the Premier League title race, and while Van Gaal's team remain in the hunt for the FA Cup, the Europa League looks increasingly like a crucial passport back into the Champions League.

The second leg will be held at Old Trafford on March 17.
