Despite his status as a Premier League football star, Chelsea's Nemanja Matic keeps his feet firmly on the ground.

Marko Vukicevic, a journalist from Serbian newspaper Blic, has reported (h/t Sport Witness) that the defensive midfielder regularly visits his hometown of Vrelo and is extremely generous to the locals.

He added that Matic regularly pays off the villagers' bills at the local grocery and has even been known to help out with the locals' gambling debts.

That's a classy gesture from the 27-year-old, who is looking to guide Chelsea back into European competition next season.
