Tim Tebow, quarterback for the reigning national championship Florida Gators and 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, was taken to a hospital during the third quarter of today's game against Kentucky.

Tebow was hit by defensive end Taylor Wyndham and as he went down, his head collided with right tackle Marcus Gilbert's leg.

While he was carted away, it appeared he was vomiting. He was motionless on the field for several minutes prior to being helped off.

Tim Tebow had arrived separately from the rest of the team due to illness, most likely the flu, and despite being far from tip-top shape, he ran for 123 yards with two touchdowns, and passed for 103 yards and a touchdown.

Back-up quarterback, John Brantley, replaced Tebow on the following possession.

Florida won the game, 41-7, despite losing Tebow, so the major question now for the Florida Gators would be if he is alright.

He was motionless, so he could have suffered a concussion. He was taken to the hospital, yes, but it could easily be for precautionary reasons.

Whatever it is, have your Bibles and crosses ready for this young man because I cannot think of a better person in college football right now than Tim Tebow.
