Arsenal's faint dreams of knocking off UEFA Champions League holders Barcelona went up in flames on Tuesday evening, as a late Lionel Messi double was enough to give the visitors a commanding 2-0 advantage heading back to the Camp Nou.

Messi finished off a brilliant counter-attack in the 72nd minute and then won a penalty and calmly converted it to put Arsenal to the sword.

All of the talk in Wednesday's papers focuses on the round of 16's glamour tie and Messi's brilliant play to put Barcelona's foot in the door to the quarter-finals and the Gunners on the brink of another round-of-16 exit.

"Another Fine Messi," "Genius" and "Messed Up" are phrases used to describe his display.
