Gent vs. Wolfsburg: Goals, Highlights from the Champions League Last-16 1st Leg

Gent hosted Wolfsburg on Wednesday for the resumption of both sides' UEFA Champions League campaigns.

The Group H runners-up snuck into the knockout stages ahead of Valencia and Lyon, while Wolfsburg advanced from Group B ahead of Manchester United and PSV Eindhoven.

The visitors took the lead shortly before half-time thanks to some brilliant skill and a fine finish by Julian Draxler:

The German added a second eight minutes into the second half with a beautiful chipped finish:

And Max Kruse scored Wolfsburg's third away goal shortly afterwards from close range:

Sven Kums pulled one back for Gent with 10 minutes to play:

And Kalifa Coulibaly ensured a nervy finish for Wolfsburg with a tidy headed finish:

But Wolfsburg hung on to ensure they take a lead with them back to Germany in three weeks' time, as well as three vital away goals.
