Juventus and Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon has been voted football's greatest-ever goalkeeper by readers of France Football (via Football Italia).

The legendary stopper collected an overwhelming 44 percent of the vote, putting him comfortably ahead of second-placed Fabien Barthez on 17 percent.

Lev Yashin and Oliver Kahn each received 7 percent, with Iker Casillas and Manuel Neuer coming joint third with 6 percent each.

But none came close to Buffon, who took first place for a career in which he has kept more than 300 clean sheets and won multiple honours for club and country.
