Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has solidified himself as one of the best at his position, with 139 receptions, 1,737 yards and 10 touchdowns his first two full seasons in the NFL.

However, he's about to be known for more than just catching footballs. According to Denise Petski of, Kelce will star in his own reality dating series, Catching Kelce, later this year on E!.

The charismatic player caught the attention of Jeff Olde, executive vice president of programming and development for the television station, per Petski.

"On top of being a well-respected athlete, Travis has a fun-loving, over-the-top personality that draws people to him, and we are excited to give our viewers an up-close look at his search for love,” Olde said.

His personality makes him a fan favorite in Kansas City, and there is no doubt Kelce likes to have fun on the field. He routinely busts out dance moves like this one shared by ESPN Monday Night:

In a Week 1 win this year over the Houston Texans, Kelce came up with a unique celebration where he wound up and punched the football forward after crossing the goal line.

He's also been known to "Hit the Quan" in the end zone after a score, and he seems to enjoy the game of football, and life in general, as indicated by his Twitter account:

With his season over, he now has time to film the show. Judging by Petski's description, it sounds like an amped-up version of The Bachelor:

Fifty eligible women, one from each state in the U.S. will be invited to Los Angeles as Kelce searches for that special someone to become his lifelong “teammate.” Kelce will be joined by famous friends and family to help him along his journey, but in the series finale, only he can decide who is the right woman for him. The dating series has a twist, though. While Kelce will be deciding who stays in the house and who is sent home along the way, the women are able to strategically decide who is attending the all-important group dates.

While this is certainly not your average story to come out of the NFL, if there is anyone in the league who would be perfect for this, it's Kelce. Maybe some of the contestants can teach him some new dance moves.
