South Africa cruised to a five-wicket victory of New Zealand to keep alive their hopes of triumphing in the Champions Trophy at home.

South Africa won the toss and elected to field first. Although Ross Taylor made a splendid 72 for New Zealand, the Kiwis struggled to get to grips with conditions and were bowled out for a below par total of 214.

A well-composed innings of 70 from 79 balls by South Africa's star batsman A B De Villiers ensured that South Africa had no trouble in gaining a five-wickets victory. This victory was a much needed one for South Africa, they lost their opening game to Sri Lanka, and a defeat to New Zealand would almost certainly have seen them knocked out of the tournament.

Graeme Smith's men are currently ranked No. 1 in the world in One Day cricke,t and they would love nothing more than to win this title in front of their home crowd. If you are a Betting person then you would do well to back South Africa winning the title.
