Despite a slow start, the No. 3 Kansas Jayhawks extended their winning streak at Allen Fieldhouse to 34 games thanks to a 76-67 win over the Texas Longhorns on Saturday.

Shaka Smart's Texas team came out strong in the first half, building a lead as big as 12 points thanks to effective defense and plenty of points from the bench.

At halftime, unranked Texas led by five, but the Jayhawks took over the game in the second half.

Kansas was led by Perry Ellis, who finished the day with 26 points on 9-for-15 shooting. Wayne Selden Jr. added another 19 for the Jayhawks, who helped coach Bill Self earn his 200th career win at Allen Fieldhouse.

Connor Lammert hit five three-pointers to lead the way for Texas with 15 points, while Prince Ibey recorded a career high seven blocks.

The win pushes Kansas' record to 16-3 for the season, while Texas falls to 12-7.
