Just recently I tackled the Hottest Women In Sports Movies, but I thought I would take a look at the lesser known genre: sports TV shows.

The sample size is much smaller to choose from, and the quality of most of these shows is nothing to brag about, but where there is smoke there is fire, and where there are sports there are hot women.

I'm here to find them so you don't have to.

No. 20: Clare Carey - Coach

Display_image

Who could forget Craig T. Nelson's little girl who wasn't so little anymore? Coach may have had some trouble dealing with the fact that his daughter had become a sexy college co-ed, but we had no such problems with it.

No. 19: Sandra Oh - Arli$$

Display_image

Sorry, as much as you tried to forget about Arli$$, I'm here to remind you of it. The show about a sports agent was a guy's club, aside from the pre-Grey's Anatomy Oh.

She's got that sneaky kind of sexiness. It's the kind where you don't really notice it until she breaks it out at the right time and you find yourself going, "Ohhhhh."

No. 18: Sabriana Lloyd - Sports Night

Display_image

If quirky chicks are your thing, you must have had the crazy hots for Sabrina Lloyd back when Sports Night was going on.

The too-smart-for-its-own-good show was less about sports and more about relationships and talking really fast, but it still counts as a sports show. Sophia Bush was the closest thing they had to a hottie in the cast. She did just fine.

No. 17: Connie Britton - Friday Night Lights

Display_image

Coach's wives are not normally sexy symbols in sports movies and shows. They are normally there to be supportive and sit nicely in the stands, cheering on their man.

Not Connie Britton. She took a small part in the movie and turned it into an iconic coach's wife role in the show. She is smart, strong, and most of all she brings a sexiness that makes us want to be Kyle Chandler even more.

No. 16: Thea Andrews - Playmakers

Display_image

Before ESPN had Erin Andrews, it had Thea Andrews. Andrews played a reporter on the short-lived ESPN show Playmakers. While men certainly enjoyed her, the Association for Women in Sports Media (that's a real thing) filed complaints about her.

That didn't dissuade ESPN, who hired her as an actual reporter when the show ended, giving us a double case of the Andrews when they hired Erin the same year.

No. 15: Hillary Tuck - Hang Time

Display_image

One thing Hang Time tried to do was give us hot girls in non-traditional roles. They succeeded in at least that much. While one girl was actually on the team, Hillary Tuck was the cute manager.

The manager can't be gorgeous. She needs to be cute, but not too cute so that she seems just like one of the guys and not too attainable. Tuck pulled that off nicely.

No. 14: Aimee Teegarden - Friday Night Lights

Display_image

What is it about the coach's daughter that makes her so irresistible? It has to be that she's the forbidden fruit. Guys always want the girl that they can't have.

Even if she wasn't the coach's daughter, though, I would still want Aimee Teegarden. And yes, for those of you wondering, she's 20. It's legal.

No. 13: Daniella Deutscher - Hang Time

Display_image

Hang Time really was one of the worst television shows ever. It was like a bad cross between Saved By The Bell and the basketball scenes from Teen Wolf.

To show how forward thinking the show was, they had one of the stars on the basketball team be a girl. No offense, but that would never happen, not for a team that won any games.

At least it gave us a reason to check out Daniella Deutscher, who stayed on for the series' miraculously long run of six seasons.

No. 12: Zoe Lucker - Footballers' Wives

Display_image

Zoe Lucker plays one of the best gold diggers on television. She tries to marry for love, but always ends up heading to the altar for money.

Most of all, though, she's not afraid to use her sexuality to get whatever she wants. Those women are dangerous in real life, but they sure are fun to watch on TV.

No. 11: Gina Carano AKA "Crush" - American Gladiators

Display_image

The female gladiators have to be one of the hardest roles to cast in Hollywood. They have to be really tough, almost manly, but at the same time have sex appeal.

American Gladiators struggled with that concept when it first came on the air, but when they revamped the series two years ago, they hit a home run with Carano. The MMA fighter was the perfect blend of tough and hot.

No. 10: Brittany Daniel - The Game

Display_image

The Game actually lasted for three seasons on the WB. Livening up our TV sets during that time was Brittany Daniels, the wife of the captain of the San Diego Sabers (a fake pro football team).

She played a former cheerleader and I can see why. She definitely has the, um, assets.

No. 9: Hilary Burton - One Tree Hill

Display_image

Most people gloss over the fact that One Tree Hill focused a lot on the basketball team because girls don't care and guys didn't watch the show. If we did watch the show, it wouldn't be for the basketball scenes, which were preposterous at best.

It would be for the sexy ladies like Hilary Burton who played - what else? - a cheerleader. If it weren't for cheerleaders and town vixens, I'm not sure sports TV shows would be worth watching at all.

No. 8: Sophia Bush - One Tree Hill

Display_image

Sophia Bush is another piece of eye candy from One Tree Hill. She plays the captain of the cheerleading squad, which means she of course takes things way more seriously, is manipulative, and absurdly hot.

In real life, the head cheerleader is the best cheerleader. In sports movies and TV shows, that duty just falls to whoever is the hottest. Honestly, I like that way much better.

No. 7: Ali Landry - The Superstars

Display_image

The former Miss USA and Doritos Girl was paired with Jeff Kent during The Superstars. They may not have won, but at least she never claimed to have injured herself washing a car.

I may have injured myself watching her wash a car, but that's the extent of it.

No. 6: Laila Rouass - Footballers' Wives

Display_image

Laila Rouass can play crazy just as well as she can play hot. This girl has faked her own kidnapping and suicide during her run on Footballers' Wives.

She's almost hot enough to get me to watch this show. Almost.

No. 5: Katy Mixon - Eastbound & Down

Display_image

The latest and greatest sports show on TV would have to be Eastbound & Down. A big reason is Danny McBride's hilarious Kenny Powers. Two other big reasons are Katy Mixon.

She's got that hot little southern accent that just drives me up the wall. And any fan of the show knows that the picture above is right about when we really started taking a liking to her.

No. 4: Joanna Krupa - The Superstars

Display_image

I didn't know who Joanna Krupa was before I saw The Superstars, but I fell in love with her not just because she's incredible looking, but for the way she handled T.O. She was probably the first person on earth to leave him speechless.

Just watch the clip below (with some NSFW language) to see what I mean.

No. 3: Adrianne Palicki - Friday Night Lights

Display_image

Anytime you tell a story about high school athletics, you have to include at least one town vixen. Adrianne is that vixen.

Whether she's hooking up with Tim Riggins or Landry Clarke, she gets around like a carousel on steroids. We're not complaining one bit.

No. 2: Kristi Leskinen - The Superstars

Display_image

Leskinen could be mistaken for one of the models that appeared on The Superstars, but she was actually one of the athletes.

This freestyle skier won the summer's competition, making her the best combination of hot, athletic, and successful.

No. 1: Minka Kelly - Friday Night Lights

Display_image

Minka Kelly has got to be one of the hottest women ever to step into a cheerleader's uniform. Her character makes me wish I played football in high school.

She's the perfect mix of sweet and promiscuous. Just innocent enough to make us want her that much more, but she gives it up just enough to convince us that it's not a lost cause.

But most of all, she's just a pure, natural beauty, and that's why she's number one.
