Nelson Active vs. Wizards

Thursday, Jan. 28

Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reported Nelson will play against the Washington Wizards on Thursday.

Nelson's Return Provides Boost to Denver's Lineup

Nelson's absence robbed Denver of its most proficient distributor. Talented rookie Emmanuel Mudiay averages 5.7 assists to Nelson's 5.1, but the latter doesn't turn the ball over nearly as much as the 19-year-old.

Mudiay has also struggled as a shooter this season, sinking shots at just a 32.5 percent clip from the field. Although Nelson has been around 37 percent, he is the better option.
