The Monmouth Hawks defeated the Iona Gaels 110-102 Friday night, but it was what happened after the game that became the story.

Here are some clips of the incident, starting with one that shows center Chris Brady being slapped by an Iona player after the game, per Mike Rutherford of CardChronicle.com:

It appears an assistant coach is caught in the altercation and pulled to the ground by a member of a coaching staff, courtesy of FantaSource:

Iona announced Jordan Washington has been suspended for two games for his involvement in the incident, per Andy Katz of ESPN.

Monmouth is known for its sideline celebrations after each big play or basket, and its players' antics appeared to spark the confrontation. They took the celebrating up to another level in this game (via FantaSource and Matt Allaire of Blog Red Machine):

Rutherford provided a clip of Monmouth coach King Rice's parting message to the Iona fans:

The Hawks won for the ninth time in their last 10 games, so they have every reason to celebrate.
