Hockey, NHL, NHL Northwest, Vancouver Canucks, AHL American Hockey League, Manitoba Moose

It is a tragic day in the NHL and the world today as family, friends and fans all learned that promising defenseman Luc Bourdon was killed while riding his motorbike near his house in Shippagan, N.B Canada. He was only 21 years of age, not just an up-and-coming hockey player, but also just a young man who was well on his way to having a bright future in the NHL.

Bourdon split his time with the AHL's Manitoba Moose and also played in 27 games with the Vancouver Canucks, where he registered his 1st NHL goal, and had another added, with a plus+7 and 20 PIM. He was also a member of the 2006 World Junior gold medal team, winning him a spot on the tournament all-star team. Bourdon, drafted 10th overall by the Vancouver Canucks, played his junior in Val D'or, Moncton and Cape Breton.

Life is just too precious.

May Luc Rest In Peace. He is now playing with the Hockey Gods.
