The Oakland Raiders should trade away their "franchise quarterback" aka Jamarcus Russell. If the Oakland Raiders would get rid of Russell before the start of the season so they could get a first round pick before everyone sees him stink. So what teams would be interested in Russell.
Dolphins:
Why they would trade for him:
They need a QB but if you are reading this, you are saying they have Henne and Beck but do you think they are your QBs of the future? No they are not. Russell would make Ted Ginn better because he can throw it deep to him.
Why they won't trade for him:
The Dolphins will most likely get a top three pick in next years draft and do not want to give it away. They know if they do the trade they will have three horrible quarterbacks on their team.
Chiefs:
Why they will trade for him:
They could use a QB that can throw the ball deep and up high to Dwayne Bowe. It would be smart to put Russell back on the same team with his favorite target in Bowe. Croyle is a game manager and can't throw the ball deep.
Why they won't:
Russell is not a huge upgrade from Croyle. The Chiefs are in rebuilding mode and want a high draft pick.
Bears:
Why they will:
Rex Grossman.
Why they won't:
Lovie Smith likes Rex Grossman.

Good work for your age kid, and i think that ideally, it would be smart for the Raiders to maybe trade Russell because of his crazy salary. However, trading for a 1st round pick would just create a circular pattern, as the new pick would likely garner an equally high salary. Chad Henne is actually an ideal QB right now, because he is a near 1st round talent that is being paid a 2nd round salary, which is much, much less than what Russell is making.
Considering your age, you did pretty good kid. And for the rest of you commenting on the page, give the kid a break.

A little unsolicited advice for you in writing articles in the future.
There's nothing wrong with voicing your opinion, but you might wanna try prefacing those opinions as such, instead of putting them out there like it's a fact. For instance, you say Russell is overweight. Truth is Head Coach Lane Kiffin has come on record and stated he's very pleased with Russell's weight and how well he's moving around on the field during these last OTA's. (It appears you edited out the weight part... but my point stands nonetheless)
Second, you voice a very strong "opinion" that Russell "stinks". In fact, it's your only basis for trading him. It would do you well in the future to state why you think he stinks. People will not take you seriously otherwise. If a fan of another team came up to and said "Namdi Asomugha stinks!" Would you just take their word for it, or would you ask them to explain themselves? Kinda the same thing.
My opinion on JaMarcus Russell is he's still very much an unknown as an Oakland Raider. You can't judge his playing time last season too harshly because, as a result of his long contractual hold-out, he had very, very little time practicing with the #1 team. Kiffin has even come out and said that JaMarcus really didn't have any of the coaches to teach him much because they were busy coaching up the QB's who were likely to be the starters that week.
The JaMarcus Russell we do know is that of the kid who tore up the SEC in his college career. He has an unbelievable arm, is a student of the game, is a great teammate and has run a pro-type system at LSU. From his play during his college years, along with his skill set, every Raider fan should be VERY excited to have him as a Raider. He has GREAT potential. Al Davis himself has compared Russell's talent and skil to John Elway.
So in my opinion, no, it would be foolish to try and trade JaMarcus. Mainly from the standpoint that he has as good a shot of becoming a GREAT player as a Peyton Manning or Tom Brady did... and we still do not know really what we have for sure.
Anyway... sorry you had to endure the heavy handed replies above, but you should learn from this... and don't stop writing!

Well there's not much to say instead of re-iterating my fellow Raider fans lines (that basically have said everything you can say) that tore this kid a new hole, but what the hell, i'll take a shot at it just for J-Rock...
First of all, you're 13. What in the hell do you know about the nfl. You probably take your advice off of what happens in the video game Madden.
2nd: It would be the most catastrophic move in the history of SPORTS. No qb ever has had the physical skill set that Russell has coming out of college.
