First off let me just start by saying that this article may shock a few people on what I say but just know that it I did a lot of studying compiling this list and it's the truth and right, no matter what you want to believe.
Well let's get the list started with the first thing that you need to know...
1. Tom Brady is the most overrated player in the league.
As we saw last year with Matt Cassel, Brady is just a product of the system. Sure, he put up the most TDs in a season but the only reason for that was Randy Moss.
Moss has turned every quarterback he has ever played with (when he tried) into an elite QB, remember Daunte Culpepper...When he played with Moss, he was a Pro Bowl level player, after Moss left he fell apart and has done nothing note-worthy since.
It also helps that Brady knew where the defense was blitzing and coverage on every play (Spygate).
2. Jamal Lewis is a better RB than Adrian Peterson.
Jamal is a brutal RB to have to play against, no matter where you hit him he is getting at least 3 yards after that. He has been very durable and averages over 300 carries a year.
Lewis has also had a 2,000 yard season in which he averaged over 5 yards a carry and had nearly 400 carries in one season.
Adrian Peterson on the other hand rarely escapes a hit in the backfield and has way to many fumbles.
Sure, you see all of his long highlight film runs but he is not consistently getting good yardage. Give me Jamal over AP any day.
3. JaMarcus Russell is a top 5 QB in the league.
Yep I said it. He may not put up the best numbers but talent wise he is a top 5 QB in the league. The Raiders just don't have any weapons for him to throw to.
Put him on a team with a top WR and he will put up ridiculous numbers. He has the strongest arm I have ever seen and his accuracy is underrated.
4- Michael Vick will return to Pro Bowl level and win a SB next year.
He's not going to get the chance to start for the Eagles this year, but next year he will be too talented to pass up for a starting role on some team.
He is the hardest person to tackle in the history of the NFL and his accuracy has improved over the years, not to mention his arm is insane.
Next year, I predict he will throw for 3,000 yards + and add another 1,200 yards on the ground earning his way to the Pro Bowl.
5. Terrell Owens is the best WR in the history of the NFL.
How can anyone not love T.O. he is constantly putting up big numbers and is one of the most entertaining players ever along with Chad Ochocinco. He has put up at least 1,000 yards and 10 TD in almost every healthy season he has ever had.
He is one of the strongest WRs and gets the all important YAC. The media needs to quit hating him for stating the facts and just realize he is just what the league needs.
6. Brett Favre is not even a top 5 QB in the history of the NFL.
Sure he has most of the records for passing statistic but he has the all important most INTs thrown. The media loves him way too much for no reason, he is a bigger distraction and disease on the team than two of the players who get all of the reputation for doing that, T.O and 85.
A good QB is one who controls the ball efficiently and doesn't have to throw the ball 40 times a game just to get a win. One of the big reasons he got so many TDs and completions was because he made so many mistakes to keep the game close and they would need to keep throwing the ball to win.
7. The wildcat is the most overhyped offense ever.
I am sick of hearing all of this talk about the wildcat. People make it out to be the best offense ever in reality it is the most ineffective.
Ronnie Brown has a couple of good games and all of a sudden everyone is doing it, even though they fail to mention the other 15 games the wildcat averages like two yards a play at best. I would rather go punt formation every play and have my punter run.
8. Troy Polamalu is extremely overrated.
Let's face it this guy spends more time making shampoo commercials and singing Mariah Carey songs to try and train his voice to get higher than what it already is than he does practicing.
Sure he might make some big hits or INTs but he is always playing out of control just so the camera follows him around and he gets more attention. He needs to focus more on the team and not himself; I hate players like that.
9. The Titans are bad: really, really bad.
They are honestly starting Kerry Collins over Vince Young. That really makes no sense considering they are not going to win a SB anytime soon and Collins is on the verge of retirement.
Put VY in there and give him time to develop so maybe you can win in the future. VY is extremely underrated and needs to be starting.
10- The Bills will win the Super Bowl this year.
Trent Edwards is just starting to gel with T.O. and once they get on a roll, this team is going to be very dangerous. The no huddle offense is the best offense in the NFL and will be unstoppable.
Their defense is underrated and will be good enough to stop opponents when they need to. Fred Jackson is clearly a better RB than Lynch so that could be their only downfall, if they give the job back to Lynch full-time.
