The last time I was at a tournament game of any kind in the Verizon Center, Miami defeated a non-descript Virginia Cavaliers team in the opening rounds of the ACC tournament.

Now, I’ll have the chance to do it REAL big on F Street. From the WaPo’s story:

The NCAA Division I men’s basketball committee announced Monday that Verizon Center was selected as one of eight venues to host first- and second-round games, which will be played March 17 and March 19, 2011.

So, looks like my college basketball highlights will no longer be hallmarked by numerous trips by Guillermo Diaz to the foul line, and 30-something men in Chris Wilcox jerseys.
