Defensive lineman Derrick Bryant made a verbal commitment to UCLA before visiting his last three schools.

"I committed on Sunday before I got back on the plane," Bryant said.

"Everything about the trip was perfect, that place was like paradise for me. I love the West Coast and I think the Pac-10 really fits my style of play. I'm an athletic pass-rusher and love to get after the quarterback and that's how they play out here."

"My feeling is when you commit somewhere, it's like you're engaged and I'm one of those loyal types and don't believe in looking around once you give your word. Like I said, UCLA was perfect in every way and I'm very excited to be a Bruin."

So it appears Bryant won't be taking his last few visits. He'll never know whether Michigan is more "perfect" than UCLA (it is), but I wish him the best of luck.
