PITTSBURGH - JANUARY 23: A fan holds up a 'terrible towel' as the New England Patriots take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC championship game at Heinz Field on January 23, 2005 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Patriots defeated the Steelers 41-27. (Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)

The curse of Myron Cope is on the Titans, who have now not won a game since they defeated Pittsburgh last season, in week 15. Following their 31-14 victory, the Titans' LenDale White and Kieth Bullock stepped on the towel, and made rude, un-sportsman-like comments about the Steelers. Since then, they have been defeated three times, including once by the Steelers in the game opener.

Their string of bad luck began in the divisional round of the playoffs, where they lost to the Ravens 13-10, in a game where they were highly favored to win.

Then, as the Titans plan to redeem themselves in the season opener verses the Steelers, they lose after Jeff Reed kicks a field goal in overtime, giving the Steelers the victory.

Their most recent loss has resulted in the dreaded 0-2 slump. It is very hard to come back from two losses, but I have a feeling that the Titans' bad luck will run out, and they might make the playoffs.

Let this be a warning to all : Do not mess with the Terrible Towel.
