Hello, everyone. As always, I would like to thank all of you for spending some time with me today.
Over the many years of watching wrestling I have seen many great performers in the ring. Tonight, we are losing one of them. We have seen the last of long-time ring announcer Lilian Garcia.
Her final night on Raw ended with a tearful speech to the crowd. It was touching moment for everyone in attendance and on TV everywhere. After she was done, the crowd deafened the arena with "Thank you Lilian" chants.
Most of us new this day was coming; still it was a sad night to see. There is only one other ring announcer that I can recall that has garnished as much attention as Lilian. That would be Howard Finkel.
I can honestly say that watching Lilian leave is a sad moment for me. I have enjoyed her good-hearted nature over the years. Who can forget her torrid love affair with Big Vis?
I also remember her promos with The Rock. Those were some funny moments. If you doubt me You tube it for yourself. Let’s just say she enjoyed The Rock's strudel.
She was a good-hearted person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She stood side-by-side with Lance Cade during his rehab. She has also spent countless hours with our boys in Iraq.
She has warmed our hearts with the national anthem for a decade. I hope that when the time comes. That she receives her proper dues, and is put in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Lilian, I wish you the best with your future away from the squared circle. You will truly be missed by each and every one of us. Thank you for the many wonderful years you have given us.
