Ilyasova was available to play on Monday against Brooklyn, according to Pistons radio broadcaster Mark Champion.

Pistons Offense Missed Ilyasova's Presence

Ilyasova is the type of stretch 4 Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy covets and needs for his offense to succeed as Detroit builds its roster around center Andre Drummond.

The good news was that the Pistons had other players to turn to while Ilyasova recovered. Marcus Morris slid between small and power forward, veteran Anthony Tolliver filled in and versatile wing Stanley Johnson had more opportunities to make an impact amid his rookie year.

Ilyasova has battled various injuries throughout his NBA career and has struggled to fulfill his potential as a result.

An ailing right ankle was among notable health issues that plagued him for all of the 2013-14 campaign, eventually cutting that season short. The 28-year-old only appeared in 58 regular-season games for the Milwaukee Bucks last season, as well.
