Jamal Williams, a Defensive Tackle for the San Diego Chargers, was placed on the Injured Reserve, ending his season.

Williams, one of the most disruptive defensive lineman in all of football, had a triceps injury. He was a key player in that 3-4 scheme used by Defensive Coordinator Ron Rivera.

At almost 350 pounds, Williams dominates the centers and guards, sometimes even manhandling them.

He is one of those guys who don't have the flashy stats as a defensive tackle, but does dirty work. He sometimes has to be doubled, thus allowing linebackers like Shawne Merriman and Shaun Phillips to pick up the sacks.

Coming into this year as super bowl contenders, this injury could definitely hurt their chances.
